Privacy policy

This policy explains what CalCoast.org collects when you use this website, why, who it is shared with, and how to ask us to delete it. The site is operated by Savo Group.
What we collect
When you submit the form on this site, we receive:
- your name
- your email address
- your telephone number
- the message you write, if any
- which acquisition route you selected, and any figure you entered
We also record technical information with each visit: the country your request came from, as reported by our network provider, the type of device and browser you are using, the page you arrived on, and the website or search engine that referred you.
We do not store your IP address, and we reduce referring web addresses to a hostname, because full addresses often contain search terms and session identifiers we have no reason to keep.
Cookies
This site sets a small number of first-party cookies. They are not shared with other websites, including the other domains we operate, and they are not used for advertising.

You can delete these at any time in your browser settings. The site works normally without them; you will simply be counted as a new visitor each time.
Where analytics are enabled, this site may also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies and is governed by Google's privacy policy. We do not enable Google's advertising features, and we do not link your activity across our domains.
Why we use it
- To respond to your inquiry.
- To negotiate and complete a sale of the domain name, if you want to.
- To understand how many people use the site and how they found it.
- To detect and prevent abuse of our forms.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run this site, and your information passes through them: Cloudflare hosts the site and stores submissions; Google Analytics, where enabled, processes usage statistics. Each acts on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept for as long as we may need them to deal with your matter and to keep proper business records, and no longer than three years after our last contact with you unless the law requires otherwise. Visit records are kept for two years.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to michael@savogroup.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the rights above, together with the right to know what categories of personal information we have collected and disclosed. We do not sell personal information for money.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes to how we share information will be described here rather than made quietly.
