In 2013, Metropolitan’s Board approved a pilot Foundational Actions Funding (FAF) Program that consisted of technical studies and pilot projects pertaining to the areas of groundwater, recycled water, seawater desalination, and stormwater. Foundational Actions, now referred to as Future Supply Actions, are relatively low-cost, low risk preliminary actions to better prepare the region for unforeseen water supply challenges. These actions allow us to develop cost-effective solutions in time of need.
